There are both public and private schools in the city. School District 23 Central Okanagan is in charge of public schools in the area. Some of the primary schools include Glenmore Elementary School, Chute Lake Elementary School, Anne McClymont Elementary & Primary School, A S Matheson Elementary School, Casorso Elementary School, etc.
For secondary schools, there is Kelowna Secondary School, George Elliot Secondary School, Okanagan Mission Secondary School, Mount Boucherie Senior Secondary School, Rutland Senior Secondary School, etc. For parents who prefer private schools for their kids, Kelowna Christian School, Heritage Christian School, St. Joseph Elementary, and Immaculata Regional High School are a few of the private schools in the area.
For post-secondary education, the two popular institutions are the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus and the Okanagan College. There are other privately owned institutions including VanWest College, Sprott Shaw College, and the Center for Arts and Technology.
