PEACHLAND, BC

Peachland is a community in the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. It is a district municipality situated on the west side of Okanagan Lake, having a lot of fascinating activities to keep you thrilled all year round. Even though the region has been in existence long ago and was inhabited by the Okanagan people, it was officially founded in 1899 by John Moore Robinson. The community is in proximity to cities such as Summerland (to the north) and Kelowna (to the south). It takes about 20 minutes to drive to Summerland and about half an hour to drive to Kelowna. As each year goes by, the district tends to experience growth on every side, attracting more residents from other cities and towns in Canada.

Just across the lake from the community is Rattlesnake Island. This island is home to the famous Ogopogo. If you want to drive from the community to Vancouver, it would take about 4 hours. The first ice wine maker in North America, Hainle Vineyards, is located in Peachland, operating a cookery and organic winery school in the area. Also, the annual Peachland World of Wheels Car Show holds in the community and legendary lake monster Ogopogo is in the community.
